MeeFS to be presented at CISBAT 2013

Brussels, April 2013

The paper entitled “On the determination of climate strategies for a multifunctional energy retrofit façade system” authored by Assoc. Prof. Guedi Capeluto and Carlos Ochoa of Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, a consortium member of MeeFS, has recently been accepted and will be presented at the CISBAT 2013 conference taking place on 4-6 September 2013 in Lausane.

MeeFS goes to Warsaw for General Assembly

Warsaw, April 4 2013

The MeeFS consortium recently gathered in Warsaw, Poland for their General Assembly for 3 days.
The aim of the 3 day-long meeting was to present the main results of the exploitation outputs during 2012 to the entire consortium as well as to present the first exploitation strategy of each output.

Green Paper on post-2020 European climate and energy policies

Brussels, 27 March 2013

The European Commission today launched its Green Paper on a Climate and Energy Framework for the year 2030, marking the first step in the process of establishing a follow-up to the 20/20/20 targets. It is seeking input from stakeholders on setting energy and carbon targets, as well as on infrastructure and policy instruments.

European Parliament applies pressure over energy-efficient building targets

Strasbourg, 14 March 2013

The European Parliament voted to adopt its own-initiative (non-binding) report on the Energy Roadmap 2050 calling for an 80% cut in building energy use, which would require a huge boost to renovation targets. The Parliament, in Plenary, voted 337 to 195 in favour, with 37 abstentions.
